Funeral services for Billie Ray Warren will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the Midway Hill Baptist Church in Davis with the Reverends Willard McCartney, JR and Roger Sims officiating. Interment will follow at the Hennepin Cemetery.

Billie Ray was born May 10, 1938 in Wynnewood, OK, to the late Lannie Olen & Lillian Pauline (Hicks) Warren. He died Sunday, November 26, 2017, in Davis, at the age of 79 years, 6 months & 16 days. He and the former Ms. Portia Fay Stone were married on April 21, 1962 in Davis.

The earlier years of his life, Billie Ray grew up living in the Wynnewood/Davis/Woodland areas. At the young age of 12, he went to work full-time for Grant Farms. In 1976, after 26 years working for the Grants, Billie Ray began working for Jack Webb Construction Co of Davis as a pumper in the oil field. Later, he went to work for MAPCO Oil, where he continued working as a pumper until his retirement in 2010.

Family meant everything to Billie Ray. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing and coon hunting. Being a hard-working man, his hands were very seldom idle. He was always working on small engines, mechanicing or tinkering with something in his shop.

Survivors include his loving wife, Portia; two daughters, Lorrie Williams & husband Darryl of Davis and Rachael Mohr & husband Dwayne of Hennepin; one son, David Warren & wife Shannon of Hennepin; seven grandchildren, Matthew Warren, Nathan Williams & wife Skigh, Kaleb Warren, Meghan Williams, Elijah Warren, Parker Mohr and Connor Mohr; six great-grandchildren, Carlie Locke, Ethan Warren, Baylee Warren, Cory Holt, Skye Williams and Gunner Williams; four sisters, Mona Taylor & husband Leland, Judy Cunningtubby & husband Roy Glenn, Linda Gentry and Katie Harrell & husband Mark; and five brothers, Lannie Warren, Donnie Warren & wife Sandra, Darryll Warren & wife Wanda, Johnny Lee Warren & wife Brenda and Michael Warren & wife Cindy; in-laws, Charlotte Warren, Dewey Parker, Wiltse Armstrong, Lana Jones, Dixie Finley & husband Virgil, Charlotte Hess & husband Jerry and Billy Wayne Whatley & wife Marilyn; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Billie Ray was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Warren and Paula Sue Parker; two brothers, Paul Keith Warren and Bobby Jack Warren; and one brother-in-law, Terry Gentry.

Serving as pallbearers will be his nephews, Douglas Parker, Kevin Warren, Jimmy Don Gentry, Jason Taylor, Warren Taylor, Colton Danyear, Kendall Warren, Kirk Warren, Mark Warren, Charles Wayne Warren, Casper Warren, Thomas Warren, James Cunningtubby and Bobby Warren, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 5-7PM, Wednesday evening, November 29th at Hale’s Funeral Home in Davis.
