Funeral services for Dollie Mae Garrett will be held 1:00PM, Wednesday, Dec 21, 2016 at Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Sulphur with Pastor Bill Leveridge officiating. Interment will follow at the Lightning Ridge Cemetery.
Dollie was born May 31, 1927 in Roff to the late Eweun W. & Minnie V. (Philips) Williams. She died Thursday, Dec 15, 2016 in Sulphur, at the age of 89.
Dollie grew up in the Lightning Ridge/Hart area. She spent several years working in retails sales in the Sulphur area. Much of her life was spent as a homemaker sewing and cooking, which she truly enjoyed. Some of her cherished hobbies included camping, fishing and gardening.
Survivors include one granddaughter, Kristen Garrett & Joseph Warrior of Sulphur; four great-grandchildren, Cadince Poole, Jaylynn Love Poole, Ransom Lee Smith and Chaos Star Poole; as well as three siblings, John P Williams & wife Linda of Oklahoma City, Les B Williams and friend Collette Tulip of Washington and Shirley A Pierce and Bill Zahrte of Florida.
Dollie was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Garrett; significant other, James Kenneth Webb; two sons, Stanley Joe Garrett and Ronnie Gene Garrett; one grandson, Brian Gene Garrett; one great-grandchild, Karma Scott Teves; three brothers, Kenneth U. Williams, Thurman L. Williams & Arkle Junior Williams; and one sister, Naomi LaBarge.
