Obituary for Eva Kay Katie Crowe

Eva Kay “Katie” Crowe

Katie was born April 27, 1945 in Ottawa, KS to the late Orral & Julia Francis (Geiss) Staneart. She died Thursday, April 20, 2017, in Davis, at the age of 71 years, 11 months & 20 days.
Katie grew up in Ottawa. She moved with her family to the Davis/Sulphur area in the late 1980’s. Katie spent 10+ years working as a client specialist at the Southern Oklahoma Resource Center in Pauls Valley, prior to her retirement. Most recently she was working as a Foster Grandparent at the Davis Elementary School and the INCA Headstart in Davis. Katie was a very outgoing individual, who enjoyed her weekly trips to the salon to get her hair & nails done. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends, especially their monthly “Girls Night Out.” Katie loved her family and cherished every opportunity she had to watch her grandchildren play sports.
Survivors include her son, Chase Crowe & wife Markel of Davis; her daughter, Courtney Womack & husband Zack of Denton, TX; seven grandchildren, Halle & Ethan Crowe, Gabriella Grace “GG” & Charlee Womack and Emma, Landon & Kaiden Lippert. Katie was anxiously awaiting the birth of her eighth grandchild, Baby Boy Womack. She was also survived by two nieces, Deby Rogers & husband Chuck and Shanda Allmsted & husband Rick; as well as one nephew, Brett Staneart.
In addition to her parents, Katie was preceded in death by one sister, Joy Staneart and one brother, Butch Staneart.
A viewing and visitation was held Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 5-7PM at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
