Wilma Odean (Brooks) Nichols

Funeral services for Wilma Odean (Brooks) Nichols will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, Jan 23, 2017 at the Dougherty Baptist Church with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr officiating. Interment will follow at the Dougherty Cemetery.

Wilma was born June 3, 1962 in Wynnewood to Alfred Ray and Gloria (Pope) Brooks. She died Thursday, Jan 19, 2017 in Ardmore, at the age of 54 years, 7 months and 16 days.

Wilma grew up in Dougherty, prior to moving to the Oklahoma City area. In 1976 she and her family returned to Dougherty where she attended Sulphur Public Schools. Wilma loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her husband Todd Nichols; daughter, Amanda Lamb and husband Shawn of Dallas; son, Tyler Payne of Dallas; parents, Ray and Gloria Brooks of Dougherty; two grandchildren; two sisters, Delores Billy & husband Steven of Dougherty and Barbara Park of Davis; one brother, Bobby Brooks of Dougherty; as well as her mother-in-law, May Elise Nichols of Mountain Home, AR; and sister-in-law, Jan Nichols of Louisiana.

Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Billy, Eric Lamb, Joe Miller, Buddy Ray Luker, Dustin Weaver and Larry Luker. Honorary bearers will be Members of the American Legion Post, Glen Vandever, Chad Vandever and Rufus Reed.
