Funeral services for Almeta J. Ray Pierce will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, Dec 17, 2013 at Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Davis with Rev. Steve Milburn officiating. Interment will follow at the Condon Grove Cemetery, east of Tishomingo.

Almeta was born Jul 30, 1920 in Johnston County, near Ravia, OK to the late John W & Eula (Seawright) Tuley. She died Friday, Dec 6, 2013 in Bend, OR, at the age of 93 years 4 months and 6 days. Almeta was preceded in death by her husband Ernest R Ray in 1976. She married Wyatt Pierce on Oct 4, 1985. He preceded her in death in May, 1995. Others preceding her in death include three brothers, Arnold J, Everett J and Tommy Ray Tuley; as well as one sister, Roxie Darlene Wingo.

Almeta was a member of the First Baptist Church of Davis, joining in Oct, 1985, as well as a member of “Women of the Moose”, Soon Airs and W.M.W.

Survivors include one son, Ernest R. “Bob” Ray, Jr and wife Judy of Bend, OR; three grandsons, Corey W. Ray & wife Geri of Moscow, ID, Todd R. Ray of Vancouver, WA and Casey A. Ray & wife Malerie of Portland, OR; two great-grandchildren, Brendon & Peyton Ray; sister, Barbara Sue Stokley & husband Ron of Morris, OK; sister-in-law, Ruth Tuley of Davis; as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
