Barbara Ann Frazier



Barbara was born Dec 2, 1950 in Ada, OK to the late Essie Jack & Willa Mae (Smith) Pence. She died Friday, Feb 28, 2014 in Sulphur, at the age of 63 years 2 months and 26 days. Barbara and Jimmy L. Frazier were married on Apr 13, 1990 in Gainesville, TX. He preceded her in death on Sept 3, 2008.

Barbara was a lifelong resident of Sulphur. She owned and operated Ideal Barber shop in Sulphur for twenty years before retiring in 2012. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, cooking and being with her family. Barbara was a selfless person who was all about helping others. Her wish was for her body to be donated to science at the time of death, with the hope of helping someone in need.

Survivors include three daughters, Janice Andrews of Stratford, Tammy Heskett & husband Jack and Robin Gray & husband Charles, both of Sulphur; step-son, Alan Frazier & wife Amy of Sulphur; grandchildren, Chance Heskett, Jo Jo Gray, Chalynn Gray & Dugan Gray, all of Sulphur, Charity Heskett of Ada and Candie Heskett of Sulphur; two step-granddaughters, Jill Peters & Carie Frazier; six sisters, Carol McCarty & husband Jerry of Pauls Valley, Debbie Williamson of Marlow, Mary Casey of Shawnee, Cheryl Bell of Guthrie, Doris Peterson of Ada and Kathy Woodruff of Davis; one brother, George Woodruff of Oklahoma City; as well as a host of nieces & nephews.

Others preceding Barbara in death include her parents, sister, Linda Sue Brookins and brother, Billy Wayne Pence..

The family offers their sincere gratitude and appreciation to Brenda Pence and the entire staff of Cross Timbers Hospice for care given to Barbara during her final days.
