Services for Barbara Ann Shepard will be held 10:00AM, Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Sulphur with Pastor Eldon Martin officiating.

Barbara was born May 27, 1955 in Palo Alto, CA to the late Roy William & Nellie Jewel (Cox) Fox. She died Thursday, September 21, 2017 in Sulphur, at the age of 62 years 3 months & 24 days. Barbara and Bobby R. Shepard were married on July 19, 2004 in Sulphur.

Barbara spent the earlier years of her life in California and Arkansas. She was a graduate of Cupertino High School in Cupertino, CA. After moving to Sulphur, Barbara spent several years working as a Correctional Officer for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, until her failing health forced her to retire in 2009. In her spare time she enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby; two daughters, Jennifer Henry and Jamie Shepard, both of Sulphur; three sons, Bobby Cummings of Ardmore, Dennis Hamilton of Wilson and Curtis Fox & wife Cesali of Gene Autry; one sister, Carolyn Gibson & husband Billy of Spiro; two brothers, Milton Fox & wife Suzie of Des Moines, WA and Dale Fox & wife Joana of Ardmore; as well as nine grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by one brother, Roy David Fox.
