Funeral services for Buster Carroll Curry were held 2:00PM, Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Crossway First Baptist Church in Sulphur with Pastor Bill Leveridge officiating. Interment followed at the Oaklawn Cemetery.

Buster was born November 26, 1942 in Sulphur, to the late Tony B. “Dutch” and Mecie “Sadie” (Almond) Curry. He died Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in Durant, at the age of 73. Buster and the former Ms. Sandra Kaye Riedel were married on April 9, 1966 in Stratford, OK.

Buster grew up in the Mill Creek area, where he graduated from high school. Following high school he worked as a truck driver for C.E. White Trucking. Throughout his adult life, Buster farmed and ranched. Many would consider farming and ranching a job, but Buster considered it his passion and enjoyed every minute of it. According to his family, his most favorite place in the world to be was on a tractor. Buster also spent time working as a welder. He enjoyed collecting old cars and tractors as a hobby.

Survivors include his wife, Kaye; two daughters, Michela Robinson & husband Kevin of Kingston and Shelby Curry of Durant; one son, Todd Curry & wife Judy of Coalgate; five grandchildren, Kade & Kylie Curry, Jentri Warren and Trey & Abbey Hunt; one great-grandson, Laramie Claiborne; as well as one sister, Glenda Besselman of Florida and one brother, Jake Curry of Seminole.

In addition to his parents, Buster was preceded in death by one sister, Ellen Wilson and one brother, Harley Curry.
