Connie Louise Koch

Connie Louise (Burleson) Koch was born July 18, 1964 in Purcell, OK to Paul Wayne and Jessie Mae (Barnes) Burleson, Sr. She died Saturday, November 16, 2019 in Sulphur, at the age of 55 years, 3 months & 28 days.

Connie grew up in Southern Oklahoma. She was 1983 graduate of Ardmore High School. During and immediately following high school, she worked at the Carmike Five Theater in Ardmore. Later, she worked as kitchen help in area restaurants. At the age of 24, Connie was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis that eventually led to her being unable to work. Although this cruel disease created many restrictions for her, she never gave up. She continued to live her life with a positive attitude.

Connie was a very loving and devoted mother of her two children, Kyle and Mackenzie. They brought her much joy and encouragement. Prior to failing health, she enjoyed fishing, cooking, listening to music and gardening.

Survivors include her son, Kyle Koch of Sulphur; her daughter, Mackenzie Counts, of the home; six grandchildren; four sisters, Tammy Jones Dye, Loretta Beverly, Deanna Vaughun and Paula Britain; three brothers, Lonnie Martin, Jr, Stephen Burleson and Roy Burleson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Connie was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Mae Martin; step-father, Lonnie Martin, Sr; father, Paul Burleson, Sr; grandparents, Jesse Barnes and Mary Martin; three brothers, Paul Burleson, Jr, Tracey Martin and Wayne Burleson; step-sister, Cynthia Hotze; and uncle, Johnnie Barnes.
