Darlene Wilson Copeland

Graveside funeral services for Darlene (Wilson) Copeland will be held 2:00PM, Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Dolberg Cemetery in Roff with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating.

Darlene was born January 10, 1956 in Wynnewood, OK to George F. and Emma Beth (Britt) Wilson. She died Friday, May 10, 2019 in Sulphur, at the age of 63. Darlene and Timothy Copeland were married on December 23, 1995 at Lightning Ridge. He preceded her in death on August 7, 2007.


Darlene grew up in Roff, graduating from Roff High School in 1976. She spent her working career as a LPN at area nursing homes and McCall’s Chapel in Ada. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, embroidering and playing Moon and Yahtzee. She was an avid fan of older TV shows, as well as police and crime shows. Darlene traveled with a local band when she was younger. She enjoyed singing gospel music at church and with her family. She had compassion for animals and loved caring for any animal she could. Darlene was very family oriented and cherished spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter and great-granddaughters.

Survivors include her mother, Emma Wilson of Roff; one daughter, Trisha Moore & husband Vicente Yanez of Springdale, AR; granddaughter, Rebecca Weintraub of Fayetteville, AR; two great-granddaughters, Bethanie Weintraub and Meredith Moore; two brothers, Bud Wilson & wife Robbie and Jimmy Wilson & wife Sharon, both of Roff; two step-children, Matthew Copeland & wife Amanda of North Carolina and Kristie Ward of Oklahoma City; one step-grandson, Bill Ward of Ada; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Darlene was preceded in death by her father, George Wilson; one sister, Ann Wilson; as well as several aunts and uncles.

A visitation will be held Tuesday evening, May 14, 2019 from 5-7PM at the funeral home.
