Funeral services for Darline J. Mills Brace, 72, are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Thursday, Oct 31, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Davis with Pastor Bryan Hetherington officiating.

Darline was born on May 18, 1941 in Rock Springs, WY to the late Otis and Marcia (Carter) Jones. She died Sunday, Oct 27, 2013 in Davis, after a brief battle with cancer. Darline and Jim Mills were married on Dec 26, 1962 in Anchorage, AK. After his death in April 1991, she married Larry Brace on May 21, 1994 in Davis. He preceded her in death on Jan 10, 2013.

Darline, a graduate of Natrona County High School, grew up in the Superior and Casper, WY areas. In the early 70’s, she and Jim moved to Oklahoma and then to the Davis area in 1983. Darline opened and operated “The Old Station” of Davis from 1986 until 1991, where she very quickly became known for her onion burgers and apple dumplings. In 2003, she and Larry re-opened “The Old Station” near the Guy Sandy boat dock of Arbuckle Lake, where she once again served her well known onion burgers and apple dumplings. Darline was an avid OU Sooners and Davis Wolves fan. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing and water skiing, a sport that she championed in her early twenties.

Survivors include her daughter, Tracie Mills and wife Yvonne of Simi Valley, CA; three sons, Brad Mills & wife Brenda of Yukon, Stacy Brace & wife Paula of Plainview, TX and Jasper Brace & wife Stacy of Davis; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Sandi Bauer & husband Dan of Davis; brother, Kenny Jones of Casper; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Birch, Tony Watson, Tim Parker, Mike Lee, Cavin Jones and David Davidson. Honorary bearers will be Dan Bauer, Tanner Mills, Stacy Brace, Trish Fyffe, Rian Polson, Mark Hawker, Mason Scott and Pam Woods.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Cross Timbers Hospice of Ardmore.
