Dennis Howard Paige, a resident of Stratford, OK (Longmire Lake area), was born September 19, 1956 in Lindsay, OK to the late Howard and Ruth (Johnson) Paige. He passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 in Ada, OK, at the age of 64 years and 5 days.

Dennis grew up in West Texas, moving to Alex, OK while in his teens. After graduating from Alex High School in 1975, he attended drafting school in Dallas. Dennis trained thoroughbred race horses for 19 years, prior to applying for the Oklahoma City Fire Department. He started rookie school with the department in October, 1996 at the age of 40. Dennis served 23 years and 11 months with the Oklahoma City Fire Department.

Dennis and Stacie Taylor met on September 22, 1995 and were married on April 23, 1999 in Las Vegas.

Dennis was a man of many hobbies. He was an avid scuba diver, team roper, world traveler, rancher, poet, jokester, teacher/mentor, known for his one-liners, his whistle, snow skier, bladesmith, master maker of jelly and no-bake cookies, artist, welder, grill master, Captain of the Double D Pontoon Boat, biggest cheerleader of all his families endeavors and the world’s best Papa.

We now suspect that he is in Heaven either “Ridin’, Racin’ or Ropin’.

Survivors include his wife Stacie; son, Dustin Paige & wife Shelly of Edmond, OK; daughter, Laci Clary & husband Jay of Washington, OK; daughter, Trisha Taylor-Smith & husband Justin of Ada, OK; daughter, Chelsea Harper & husband Blake of Oklahoma City; as well as nine grandchildren, Anabelle Paige, Caroline Paige, Scarlett Paige and Olivia Paige (due February 2021), Aubri Paige Clary and Kannon Clary, George Smith, Brittany Graves and Chett Taylor.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his brother, Danny; and son, Derik Taylor.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at the Crossway First Baptist Church in Sulphur, OK with the Reverends Bill Leveridge and Troy Wright officiating.
