Evlynn grew up in the Idabel area. After graduating from Idabel High School, she attended Langston University in Langston, OK. She later earned a degree in Dietary Management from the Francis Tuttle Technology Center in Oklahoma City.

Evlynn spent her career working in the Food Service industry, employed with Langston University, Burford Manor Nursing Home, The Artesian Nursing Home, as well as the Assembly of God Church Camp.

She was immensely proud of this opportunity and shared the story quite often. Evlynn also enjoyed watching Westerns and old TV shows, all while having a popcorn and a cold adult-beverage. She cherished spending time with her beloved family and friends.
