Services for Frank C. “Cotton” Schlehuber were held Friday, Mar 2, 2012 at Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Davis with Chaplain Stanley Joseph officiating.

Cotton was born Aug 12, 1946 in Salinas, CA to Kelles F. & Betty J. (Peavler) Schlehuber. He died Tuesday, Feb 28, 2012 in Dougherty after a courageous battle with cancer. Cotton was 65 years 6 months and 16 days old. He and May (Fisher) Koch were married on Jun 15, 19—in Beeville, TX.

After graduating from Duncan High School in 1964, Cotton continued his education at both Oklahoma State University and East Central University. In Jan 1969, Cotton enlisted in the US Navy. After retiring from the Navy with 19 years of service, Cotton enjoyed gardening, spending time camping & fishing at Lake Texoma, playing cards & dominos and being with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife May; mother, Betty Schlehuber of Moore; daughter, Laura Couser & fiancé Chad Melton, both of Moore; six sons, Lenard Koch of Davis, Melvin Koch of Sulphur, Mike & Jason Koch, both of Dougherty, Bryon Koch of Minnesota and Mark Craig of Japan; two sisters, Jane McCoy & husband Cecil and Jean Zvonek both of Moore; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death was his father, Kelles; brother, Danny Schlehuber; daughter-in-law, Peggy Koch; great-grand daughter, Raven Koch; as well as his very best friend, Silas Hines.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Rodney and Shawna of Faith Hospice for the tremendous love and care they offered to Cotton during his final days.
