Franklin Don “Frank” Kennedy



Frank was born Aug 15, 1949 in Sulphur to the late Clarence & Sybil (Walker) Kennedy. He died Thursday, January 15, 2015 in Sulphur, at the age of 65 years & 5 months. Frank and Margie Reynolds were married on Aug 18, 1980 in Gainesville, TX.

Frank was a lifelong resident of Sulphur. He attended Sulphur High School prior to serving in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Frank spent many years working in the Oilfield. In 2001, he went to work for the City of Sulphur in the Parks & Recreations Dept., retiring in 2007. Early in his adult life, Frank was an avid fisherman. Most recently, he enjoyed spending time watching his grandchildren play sports. Frank was a member of the American Legion Post 148.

Survivors include his wife Margie; two daughters, Jonie Wallace and April Graves & husband Seth of Sulphur; son, Jason Kennedy & wife Teena of Davis; two brothers, Jerry Kennedy of California and Jr. Kennedy of Davis; five sisters, Margaret Cunnish & Jean Hall, both of Sulphur, Betty Kennedy of Ardmore, Sherry Kennedy of Tishomingo and Joy Hays of California; as well as his five grandchildren, Eathin, Coalten & MahKenzee Kennedy, Aidan Graves and Brody Wallace.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by two brothers, L. H. and Wendell Kennedy.
