Gladys Jacobs

Ms. Gladys Jacobs was born June 29, 1923, in Hennepin, OK. She entered eternal rest on Monday, October 18, 2021, in Sulphur, at the age of 98 years, 3 months and 19 days.

Gladys grew up in the Hennepin area. Early in her adult life she moved to Omaha, NE and then to Phoenix, AZ, prior to returning to Hennepin. Throughout her life, she worked for several families in the Davis/Hennepin areas assisting with house cleaning.

Gladys was a very outgoing lady. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was known for her quick wit and her ability to make those around her laugh. Gladys was truly a people person and never met a stranger. In her younger years, she enjoyed fishing. Gladys was a faithful member of the Church of the Living God in Hennepin.

Survivors include one niece, Willie Faye Miles of Jones, OK; one great-niece, Tevaner Bradford of Oklahoma City; as well as several great-great nieces and nephews, and a host of beloved friends.

Gladys was preceded in death by her father, Edward Jacobs; her mother, Henrietta Williams; three sisters, Texaner Jacobs, Marlene Smith and Fannie Mae Wilcox; as well as one brother, Curtis Williams.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 21, 2021, at the Five Mile Cemetery, east of Hennepin.
