Funeral services for Gloria Jeanne Webber will be held 2:00PM, Friday, June 27, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Davis with Rev Frank Duncan officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.

Gloria was born April 30, 1943 in Cold Springs, OK to the late Thomas Wesley “Doc” & Helen Faye (Powell) Webber. She died Tuesday, June 24, 2014 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 71 years 1 month & 4 days.

Gloria grew up in Davis where she graduated from high school in 1961. She attended the University of Oklahoma where she graduated in May 1967 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. Early in her working career, Gloria held several positions with several companies including Ling-Temco-Vaught, Saladmaster’s Corp, personal assistant to Mary Crowley the owner and president of Home Interiors, Century 21 and Geomap, prior to becoming self-employed. In 1979, she opened G. Webber Queen Shoppe in Garland, TX. Gloria and Ernest “Ernie” Delpino were married on Sept 24, 1983 in Davis. She & Ernie later opened DeElegance’ an upscale dress shop in Plano, TX, selling the business in 1994. Not long after the death of her father in 1996, Gloria felt the need to return home to Davis to be near her mother and family.

Gloria was an avid reader. Although she enjoyed countless hours of reading novels, her most favorite reading was that of the Bible. Throughout her adult life, Gloria provided great care and comfort to three very special poodles, Gigi, Ginger and most recently, MaPetite.

Survivors include one sister, Janelle Payne; brother, Santford Webber & wife Holly, both of Davis; nieces & nephews, Cindy (Webber) Hines & husband Tim, Deshawn Payne, Wes Webber, Chad Williams & wife Samantha and Brandon Williams & wife Tiffany; great nieces & nephews, Brittani Wynn, Maddison Payne, Coley, Lauren & Derek Hines, Keaton, Ethan & Kerigan Williams and Payton, Riley & Gabby Webber; one great-great niece, Parker Wynn; and brother-in-law, Benny Williams.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Doc & Helen Webber; sister, Paula Sue (Webber) Williams; niece, Lesa (Payne) Bradley and brother-in-law Dwight Payne.
