Ida Pauline Richardson

March 26, 1922 — October 2, 2016

Ida Pauline Richardson left this earth to be with her Savior on Sunday, October 2, 2016.
Everyone that knew Pauline knows that she has a huge smile on her face right now
because she and the love of her life, Lonnie Richardson, have finally been reunited.

Graveside services for Pauline will be held on Thursday October 6, 2016 at 2PM at Evergreen Cemetery. Roden-Pryor Funeral Home in Paris will be accepting flowers for the service.

Pauline was born March 26, 1922 in Howland Texas to Delia Bell Griffith and Daniel Benjamin Gaines Griffith . She is survived by one sister Ruth Bryan, one son Larry Richardson and a daughter, Paula Richardson Hogan. Her grandchildren are Terri Stowers, Rickey Richardson, Loni Richardson, Caleb Hogan, Rachel Hogan, Micah Hogan, and Gabriel Hogan. Preceding her in death are her husband, Lonnie Richardson, two brothers and two sisters.

Pauline was well known in Lamar and Delta County for the many years she owned and operated Colonial Coiffure Hair Salon. With her sister, Ruth, as her assistant, Pauline grew the business into one of the most highly respected and sought after places to go to for all your beauty needs.

Pauline and Lonnie were married for 60 happy years. During that time Pauline and Lonnie worked side by side on their farm. If there was anything that ever needed to be done, Pauline would be the first to volunteer to help, regardless of if it was driving the tractor or pulling weeds in the field. She had a servant’s heart and was never seen without a smile on her face.

For many years Pauline attended church in Klondike Teas where she was so proud to always be the one always named “oldest person in church” and was just as proud to hear the word of God coming from her nephew and pastor Terry Bryan.

On a final note, for everyone that knew Pauline, you would probably agree that if there was a line that best described her it would be “I did it my way”. Pauline lived life doing things her way with love, joy and faith,
