JW was born Apr 7, 1940 in Bennington, OK to the late Theodore & Mary (Mishontaumbby) Billy. He died Saturday, Oct 17, 2015 in Ada, at the age of 75 years 6 months and 10 days. He and Karen Jan Lucas were married on Mar 20, 1961 in Gainesville, TX.

JW was raised in the Sulphur area, where he graduated from high school. He was a very hard working man, whose main goal in life was to simply take care of and provide for his family. JW was a quiet, very respected man with a great sense of humor. He was an avid outdoorsman; hunting & fishing every chance he had. He enjoyed watching football and basketball on TV. JW loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, of whom he gave each their very own special nickname. JW was a proud member of the Chickasaw Nation.

Survivors include his wife Jan; five sons, Steven Billy & wife Dolores of Dougherty, Walter Billy & wife Burla of Sulphur, Monte Ken Billy & wife Jackie of Dougherty, Dean Billy & wife Cheryl of Dougherty and Teddy Billy of Lawton; one daughter, Tiffany Sewell & husband Christopher of Dougherty; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; as well as three sisters, Iva Robison & Mary Jernigan both of Sulphur and Nell Lampkin of Davis; and one brother, Johnny Rochelle of Sulphur.

In addition to his parents, JW was preceded in death by one son, Emmit David Billy in Oct, 2012; sister, Sue (Rochelle) Green-Larsen; and his grandparents, who raised him, Jackson & Frances Mishontaumbby.
