Janis was born on Jan 22, 1947 in Sulphur OK, to the late James Howard and Verna (Hobbs) Pratt. She died Monday, Jan 19, 2015, in Sulphur, at the age of 67 years, 11 months and 27 days. Janis & Kenneth Clary were married in 1965 in Sulphur and from this marriage were born two daughters, Kimberly & Shannon.

Janis grew up in the Roff/Sulphur area. After high school, she continued her education at the University of Oklahoma, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies in 1977. After college, Janis spent 15 years working at the University of Oklahoma and then 15 years working for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations in a clerical position. After retiring, she moved back to Sulphur. Janis was an avid reader. In her spare time she enjoyed playing Scrabble, computer games and visiting with family & friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly O’Brien and husband Tim of Norman; two grandsons, Bryeson Lance of Ada and Kendall Lance of Oklahoma City; sister, Carolyn Ingram and nephew, Dennis Ingram, both of Sulphur.

In addition to her parents, Janis was preceded in death by a daughter, Shannon Clary and brother, James Audie Pratt.
