Jimmie Lou Terry

March 1, 1932 — November 28, 2020

Jimmie, better known by her family as Aunt Jim, was born March 1, 1932 in Elmore City to the late Ed and Neva (Harmon) Tomlinson. She died Saturday, November 28, 2020 in Sulphur, at the age of 88 years, 8 months and 27 days.

Jimmie grew up in the Elmore City/Wynnewood area. Following high school, she made her home in the Houston area for many years, prior to returning to her home area. Throughout her working years, Jimmie spent several years working as a hairdresser, as well as working/managing several area restaurants. She also co-owned the Arbuckle Ball Room in Davis for several years. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards and having dinners with her family. Jimmie was an avid reader, very seldom ever caught without a book in hand. She was very proud of the fact she was crowned “Queen” of the Burford Manor Nursing Home in Davis several years ago.

Aunt Jim is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.
