John Edward Reed

John Edward Reed was born March 26, 1960, in West Covina, VA, to Joe Lloyd and Jimaleah (Simms) Reed. He died on Thursday, December 16, 2021, in Davis, at the age of 61 years, 9 months and 21 days.

Throughout his life, John made his home in several places including, Oklahoma City, Houston, and Duncan, prior to moving to Davis, 19 years ago.

For much of his life, John had a great interest in firearms. He enjoyed doing buildouts of stock weapons. He was also a crossword puzzle fanatic. John was a member of the Davis Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include his mother, Jimaleah Allred of Davis; sister, Trina Bolton of Marlow; two nieces, Jennifer McCoy & husband Kevin, and Melissa Fontenot; two nephews, Dustin Bolton, and Earl Reed & wife Jen; great nieces and nephews Katherine, Josie, Ethan, Jen, Ryan, Camden, and Rylee; and sister-in-law, Tina Reed.

Preceding John in death was his father, Joe Lloyd Reed; brother, Jimmy Joe Reed; stepfather, Densol Allred; grandmother, Thelma Simms; and grandfather, Eddie Simms.
