Funeral services for Julian Lowell Williams will be held 2:00PM, Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the Central Baptist Church, south of Sulphur, with Wayne Edgar and Glen Clary officiating. Interment will follow at the Drake Cemetery.

Julian was born March 1, 1937 in Sulphur to the late Mack Noel & Laura Virginia (Owens) Williams. He died Saturday, January 12, 2019 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 81. Julian and the former Ms. Vontella Joyce Talkington were married on May 1, 1958 in Baum.

Julian grew up in the Nebo/Drake area, graduating from Sulphur High School in 1955. Following high school, he worked as a ranch hand for the Goddard Ranch, as well as the Buckhorn Ranch. He then began working for Dolese Brothers at the Big Canyon crusher, where he drove pit trucks, as well as operated loaders. Later, Julian worked as a truck driver for Joe Brown Trucking and Hanson Aggregates of Davis. Julian was very interested in history. He was a very devoted Christian and loved attending church. He could often be found reading his bible and studying the word of God on a daily basis. In younger years, Julian enjoyed vacationing with his family and riding horses.

Survivors include his loving wife Joyce; four daughters, Twyla Castleberry, Adelia Tully & husband Steven, Melissa Moore & husband Donald, all of Sulphur and Julena Williams of Healdton; four grandchildren, Toby Castleberry, Tonia Wasson, Desray Little and Jill Lambe; as well as several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Julian was preceded in death by one brother, Leo Williams and three sisters, Levenia Easley, Estelle Beaver and Eula Talkington.
