Private funeral services for Katie Lee Colley will be held Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Sulphur with the Reverend Eddie Dye officiating. Interment will follow at the Cravatt Family Cemetery near Bromide, OK.
Katie was born Sept 6, 1916 in Bromide to the late Felix & Angieline Mae (Cravatt) Wisdom. She died Sunday, April 3, 2016 in Sulphur, at the age of 99 years, 6 months & 27 days.
Katie grew up in the Bromide/Pontotoc area prior to moving to Tishomingo, where she raised her family. In 1992, Katie moved to Sulphur to be near her family. She spent several years working as a private caregiver. In her spare time she enjoyed tending to her flowers and sewing.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Weaver of Sulphur and Pansy Douglass & husband Robert of Anderson, IN; one son, Bobby Colley of Los Angeles, CA; five grandchildren, Jonathan Douglass, Rod McCurry, Earl Colley, Jr, Julie Mohlar & Jason Colley; as well as six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Katie was preceded in death by one son, Earl Colley; sister, Mae Wisdom; brother, William Wisdom; and son-in-law, Larry Weaver.
