Kenneth Clifton Danley

Memorial services for Kenneth Clifton Danley, 79, will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Sulphur.

Kenneth was born August 10, 1939 in Ada, OK to the late Clarence and Faye (Agee) Danley. He passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at his home in Wynnewood, surrounded by his family.

Kenneth and his family moved from Oklahoma to Bakersfield, CA when he was a child. Kenneth later served in the United States Marine Corp from 1955 until 1957 as a machine gunner, as well as “peeled a lot of potatoes. Kenneth and his young family moved from Bakersfield to Sulphur in 1969.

Kenneth spent many years working as a truck driver. Many people knew him as “Pokey.” In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling to Louisiana, as well as tending to his cattle and goats.

Survivors include his beloved friend, Sue Landrum of Marietta; three daughtes, Kelly Danley & Tommy Owens of Davis, Donna Lancaster & husband Jimmy of Sulphur and Trudy Danley of Arizona; three sons, Ron O’Connor of California, Larry McBride of Marietta and Scotty McBride of Texas; sister, Oletta Roddy & husband Everett of Wynnewood; nine grandchildren, Dakota Wilkinson & wife Marsha of Oklahoma City, Lindsey Wilkinson of Davis, Tara Lancaster of Sulphur, Jeremy Lancaster & wife Val of Sulphur and Ashley, Tommy, Hunter, Justice & Chance O’Conner of California; six great grandchildren, Trinity, Jaelyn, Jaxon, Jaimen, Della, Delilah, Boo, Luna and one on the way; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Danley; daughter Sherri Danley; sons Tim Danley; three sisters, Joletta Reit, Loretta Campbell and Pat O’Neal; and one brother Wayne Danley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
