Funeral services for Larry Phillip Brace were held 2:00 PM, Monday, Jan 14, 2013 at the Chickasaw Trail Baptist Church with Rev. Eldon Archer officiating. Interment followed at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.

Larry was born Jun 3, 1946 in Woodward, OK to the late Clarence & Zella (Johnson) Brace. He died Thursday, Jan 10, 2013 in Davis, at the age of 66 year 7 months & 7 days. Larry & Darline (Jones) Mills were married on May 21, 1994 in Davis.

Larry graduated from high school in 1964 at Dodge City, Kansas. He spent his working career in road construction and rock crushing. For most of his career, Larry was employed with Broce Construction Company. He also worked as Superintendent of Material Producers Inc. in Davis and most recently as Roadman for Murray County District One. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting & playing washers. He was an avid sports fan with his loyalty lying with the Davis Wolves, the OU Sooner and the Dallas Cowboys.

Survivors include his wife Darline; daughters, Lisa Hughes of Pheonix, AZ, Tracie Mills and Yvonne Hawker, both of Simi Valley, CA; sons, Stacy Brace & wife Paula of Plainview, TX, Jasper Brace & wife Stacy of Davis and Brad Mills & wife Brenda of Yukon; eight grandchildren, Brandi, Stephen, Crystal, & Hunter Brace, Johnathon & Cameron Hughes, Tanner Mills and Rian Polson; four great-grandchildren; brother, Calvin Brace & wife Carolyn; and sister, Mary Dailing.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; second wife, Janice in Oct 1989; daughter Debbie (Swisher) Gerzmehle in Mar 2012; four brothers, Cecil, Clyde, Marvin & Ralph Brace; and sister, Fern Brace.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Birch, Tony Watson, Tim Parker, Danny Jamison, Bobby Gene Dailing & Ray Brace. Honorary bearers will be Billy Frank Lance, Jerry Graves, Earl “Eppy” Eppeland, Ray Brooks, Howard Hill & Doug Gerzmehle.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Cross Timbers Hospice of Ardmore.
