Linda Louise (Murphy) Sanchez



Linda was born Oct 12, 1945 in Los Angeles, CA to the late Roy & Linnie (Landrum) Murphy, Sr. She died Friday, Mar 7, 2014 in Sulphur, at the age of 68 years 4 months and 25 days. Linda and Rafael Davis Sanchez, Jr. were married on Dec 20, 1989 in Carson City, NA. He preceded her in death on Sept 6, 2013.

Linda, known as GiGi by her grandchildren, was a very family oriented lady, who often said her grandchildren were her life. In earlier years she worked as a data processor in waste management. She was an avid fan of professional wrestling. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed crocheting, listing to country music, riding Harley motorcycles and playing video games. She volunteered her time at the Artesian Nursing Home, assisting residents.

Survivors include two daughters, Robin Knick of Sulphur and Sherri Craig of Washington St; two grandchildren, Larry Wilson of Washington St and Candice Woods of Sulphur; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Cathy Seabourne of Susanville, CA; and two brothers, Jimmy Murphy of San Diego and Roy Murphy, Jr. of Paso Robales, CA.
