Lois Lequeta Ramer

Lois Lequeta Ramer was born August 16, 1942 in Clayton, OK to the late Lee Cole and Mary Elizabeth (Morris) Richison. She died Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in Sulphur, OK at the age of 69 years 11 months and 8 days.

Lois and Donald Ray Ramer were married May 17, 1958 in LeFlore, OK He preceded her in death on Nov 20, 2006. Others preceding her in death include her siblings: Mary Lee Richison, Vesta Springer, Billy Uzzel, Louise Smith, Linuel, Uzzel, Arlin Uzzell, Bobby Richison, Junior Uzzel and Ralph Uzzel; as well as Arthur Lee Uzzel, who raised her.

Lois devoted her life to raising and loving her family. Although she worked as a Dorm Parent at the Oklahoma School for the Deaf for some 33 years, she always made sure her family came first. She spent every possible moment being involved in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives. Lois enjoyed sitting on the porch admiring the simple things of life, such as the cattle and horses grazing in the pasture.

Lois is survived by daughter, Pam Hefley and husband, Stan, of Davis; son Donnie Joe Ramer and wife, Rita, of Sulphur; brothers, Buddy and Guy Richison; sister Pat Coy; two brothers-in-law Jerry Ramer & wife Nell and Joe Ramer & wife Linda; five grandchildren: Tom Hefley and wife, Julie, Patrick Hefley and wife, Elissa, Banks Ramer O’Kelley and wife, Jennie, Ashley Talkington and husband Matt and Jodi Dawn Ramer; as well as six great grandchildren, Braeden, Danilyn, Dalton, Lilly, Cadence and Isabella.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM, Friday evening at the funeral home.
