Malinda Sue "Lucky" Summers

December 21, 1950 — December 9, 2022

MaLinda Sue “Lucky” Summers was born December 21, 1950, in Davis, to the late Bert & Irene (Pickens) Curtis, Sr. She passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 19 days. Lucky and Paul Dean Summers were married on August 1, 1969, in Ardmore, OK. He preceded her in death on January 17, 2021.

Lucky was a lifelong resident of Davis, graduating from Davis High School, Class of 1969. Early in her working career, she worked as a waitress at Betty Café, in Davis. She later spent several years working for the Arbuckle Memorial Hospital, retiring in 2004 as a Dietary Manager.

Lucky was a very gentle, soft-spoken lady, with a true servant’s heart. She was very active in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Spending time with her family brought her great joy and comfort. Being an avid fan of the Davis Wolves, Lucky attended every sporting event possible. In younger years, she was very active with the Davis Wolf Boosters, the Davis Band Boosters, and the Davis Kid’s Association. She, along with Paul, worked tirelessly to make sure, not only her own children, but all children, had everything they needed to succeed in school events. Lucky spent countless hours running concession stands at school sporting events, and for the DKA.

Survivors include her three sons, Lonnie Summers & wife Rhonda of Davis, Steven Summers & wife Dawn of Davis, and Richard Summers & wife Stephanie of Depew, OK; five grandchildren, Tyler, Jessica, Dale, Chase, and Johnny; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Laverne Digby; two brothers, Bert Curtis, Jr. & wife Michelle, and David Curtis & wife Patricia; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00PM, Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at the Green Hill Cemetery, in Davis.
