Margaret was born Mar 30, 1933 in Grady County, Oklahoma to James L. and Tima G. (Cook) Ashford. She died Thursday, Oct 31, 2013 in Sulphur at the age of 80 years. Margaret and Dorsey Wells were married on Sept 24, 1949 in Chickasha.

Margaret spent the first 16 years of her life in Dibble. After she and Dorsey married they made their home in Sulphur for a short time before residing in various other places. They returned to Sulphur in fall of 1992, where she remained until her death. Margaret spent her married life providing a great home for her family. She enjoyed playing the piano and walking every chance she found. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Sulphur.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Dorsey; two daughters, Charlotte Scott & husband George of Stillwater and Tima Klupenger & husband Richard of Latta; four sons, Larry Wells & companion Tina Gold of Houma, LA, Ricky Wells & wife Genalee of Spiro, OK, Gaylon Wells & wife Sunny of Sulphur and Terry Wells & wife Pam of Tuttle; one brother, Melton “Gub” Ashford of Chickasha; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces & nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, James Ashford, II and Leon Ashford; and two sisters, Sylvia Wynholz and Shirley Choiniere.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1503 W 12th, Sulphur, OK 73086.
