Nancy Solene Fraley

Funeral services for Nancy Solene Fraley will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the Crossway Baptist Church in Sulphur, with Pastor Bill Leveridge officiating.

Nancy was born August 13, 1949 in Hutchinson, KS to the late Alvern Leroy and Alberta Geraldine (Copas) Holt. She died Friday, October 25, 2019 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 70 years 2 months and 12 days. Nancy and Jimmie Logan Fraley were married on July 30, 1975 in California. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1988.

Nancy grew up in Kansas, prior to her family moving to California. She was a 1968 graduate of Santa Anna High School, Santa Anna, CA. In 1979 she and her family moved from California to Sulphur. She spent ten years working as an EMT for the Murray County EMS. In 1985, Nancy began working for WAL-MART and continued her employment of 34 years with the company, until her death.

Nancy was a very straight forward individual. One never had to wonder what she thought or how she felt. She spoke her mind without reservations. Although she appeared stern on the outside, Nancy had a heart of gold. She loved being around people and still believed in helping each customer to the best of her ability. That help often was scrutinized by corporate policies, but that never stopped Nancy. She simply wanted to do what she felt was right for fellow employees and customers.

Nancy was a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Even with her family, she practiced tough love; however, each knew she loved them. She was very active with her grandsons. She attended every school and sporting event the grandsons were involved in. In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed crocheting, traveling and trying her luck at the local casinos.

Survivors include one son, Alvern “Al” Gulla & wife Deneen; two daughters, Cathy Betterton & husband Virgil and Jennifer Mosher &husband Richard, all of Sulphur; six grandsons, Jake Gulla & wife Tiara, Dakota Lewis & wife Erin,Skyler Betterton & wife Blakely, Maddux Betterton, Brysen Lamb & wife Maycee and Wyatt Parks; four great-grandchildren, Sawyer & Fynn Gulla, Nora Lewis and Adalie Grace Betterton; one brother, Mike Holt; and one sister, Juanita Preast.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny and Billy Jerry Holt.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family will receive friends from 5-7PM, Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
