Patricia Marlene Copeland

Funeral services for Patricia Marlene Copeland will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr officiating.
Marlene was born February 24, 1940 in Tulsa, OK to the late Melton Clyde & Elsie Mae (Stout) Green. She died Saturday, March 4, 2017 in Pauls Valley, at the age of 77 years and 8 days. Marlene and the late Eddie Harold Copeland were married on June 2, 1959 in Tulsa. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2014.
Marlene grew up in the Sand Springs area where she graduated from Charles Page High School in 1958. Following their marriage, she and Ed lived in the Tulsa area several years. In 1968 the family moved to Sulphur to allow their son, Eddie Ray “Bo” to attend the Oklahoma School for the Deaf. Throughout her marriage, Marlene was a stay at home mother, caring and providing for her family; as well as kept books for Ed’s business, Copeland Garage of Sulphur. In her spare time she enjoyed listening to music, watching her daily soap operas and especially being with her family. Marlene was always very proud of the fact that she was a two time cancer survivor.
Survivors include her three daughters, Cindy Mitchell & husband Randy of Sulphur, Debbie Akins of Gainesville, TX and Karen Beck of Pauls Valley; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Donald Ray Green of Paris, TN.
In addition to her parents and husband, Marlene was preceded in death by her son, Eddie Ray “Bo” Copeland; one great-grandson, Jayse Ryan Hughes; one sister, Donna K Minney; and one brother, Melvin Gene Green.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were her grandsons, Tyler Montgomery, Michael Worley, Shane Beesley and Brandon Johnson.
