Ray Baxter Edwards Jr.

Ray was born January 7, 1933 in Elsberry, MO to the late Ray Baxter and Delores M. (Gregory) Edwards. He died Thursday, Sept 29, 2016 in Davis, at the age of 83 years. He and Mary Diann Rotramel were married on August 18, 1956.

Ray grew up in Missouri were he farmed with his family. While in high school Ray was very active in sports. It was during his high school basketball years that he met his wife Mary, although she was a cheer leader for the opposing team. Following high school, Ray attended the University of Columbia in Missouri where he majored in animal husbandry. Most of his career was spent working in agriculture sales.

Survivors include one daughter Sherry Riekhof of Springfield, MO; one son, Tony Edwards; two grandchildren Courtney Ann Stufft and husband Andrew and Amanda Riekhof ; 3 great-grandchildren Zoe Riekhof, Avery Stufft and Zachary Stufft.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by an infant sister, Joan Edwards

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Springfield, MO.
