Ricky Allan “Rick” Synder was born October 21, 1967, in Devil’s Lake, ND, to Allan Edward and Corrine (Reynen) Snyder. He died Saturday, December 10, 2022, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 55 years, 1 month and 20 days. He and the former Ms. Rhnea Pap were married on January 1, 2003, in Eureka Springs, AR.

Rick grew up in Davis, attending Davis Public Schools. Early in life he worked with his father doing small engine repairs. He also worked for the family business tipping oil field drilling bits. After the death of his father, worked as a maintenance welder for Dolese. Although he was a very skilled welder, Rick’s passion was doing mechanic work. After leaving Dolese, he spent eight years working as a boat mechanic for the Arbuckle Sports Center. His final years of mechanicing was spent with Heavy Duty Repairs of Davis.

Rick was simply Rick. To know him was to love him. He lived life to the fullest and on his own terms. His love and devotion to his family was second to none, especially his grandchildren. He had a unique bond with each member of his family. Rick also cherished spending time with his friends. Whether it was riding side by sides, vacationing together, skiing or simply setting around a campfire, being with his friends brought him great contentment, and yes, Rick was always the life of any party.

Although the final years of his life was plagued by cancer, Rick Snyder did not let that slow him down. He continued to live a very upbeat, happy, and adventurous life. His tenacious approach to his failing health was nothing short of encouraging to everyone around him.

Those left to cherish his life include his wife Rhnea; his beloved mother, Corrine Snyder of Davis; three daughters, Bridgit Rhnea Olive & husband Jason of Ardmore, Hayli Marie Sherman & husband Josh of Davis, and Joden Tate Snyder of Davis; six grandchildren, Trinyti Desiree Sherman, Tytus Daniel Sherman, Thyadore David-Allan Sherman, Payton Lee Olive, Colt Ryan Olive, and Scottlyn LaNea Beam; brothers, J.J. Snyder & wife Chasity of Davis, Ray Snyder & wife Joni of Georgia, and David Snyder & wife Brenda of Iowa; sister, Laura Gruver & husband Dennis of Iowa; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as a host of dear friends.
