Robert Keith Garrett

June 29, 1958 — December 9, 2016

Bobby Keith was born June 29, 1958 in Sulphur, OK to Bobby Neal & Dorothy June (Pruitt) Garrett. He died Friday, Dec 9, 2016 in Pauls Valley, at the age of 58.

Bobby Keith grew up in Dougherty. Following his elementary education in Dougherty, he attended Sulphur Schools, graduating in 1976. He then continued his education at Murray State College in Tishomingo. After college, Bobby Keith spent several years working at the MPI Rock Quarry west of Davis, prior to working several years for Murray County District #1 Commissioners, Byrd & Billy Frank Lance. Most recently, he worked as a forklift operator for Curwood in Pauls Valley. In his spare time, Bobby Keith enjoyed playing basketball, fast cars and riding motorcycles. Everyone that knew Bobby Keith would admit, he was always the life of the party. Mischievous, a little; aggravate his sisters, every chance he had; loved his family, more than life itself, especially his mother.

Survivors include his one son, Keith Garrett of Sulphur; two grandsons, Austin & Crue Garrett; his mother, Dorothy Garrett of Dougherty; two sisters, Sherry Zellner & husband Paul of Pauls Valley and Debbie Whitson & husband Ovie of Shady Shores, TX; as well as many close friends, including Janet Baldwin of Lone Grove, Donna Bennett and daughter Lauren McGowen, both of Oklahoma City.

Bobby Keith was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Neal Garrett.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Paul Zellner, Ovie Whitson, Vance Aldridge, Jackie Harrison, Terry Todd, Monte Lucas, Keith Grinstead, Nick D’Aurizio, Ronald Benn & Perry Pruitt.
