Funeral services for Roger Jack Jennings will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, Sept 27, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Davis with Pastor Luke Pantor and Mr. Kent Jennings officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery.

Roger was born on Dec 1, 1954 in Sulphur, OK to Robert & Joyce (Witherington) Jennings. He died Sunday, Sept 23, 2012 in Sulphur, following a brief illness. He was 57 years 9 months and 22 days old. Roger and Jeanie Gray were married on Aug 23, 1974 in Davis.

Roger was simply a happy go lucky type individual with a “here I am world” kind of grin on his face. After graduating from Davis High School in 1973, he continued his education at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, where he majored in Criminal Justice. During his time in law enforcement, Roger worked with the Norman Police Dept, the Oklahoma ABLE Commission and the Chickasaw Nation, from which he had recently retired from. Currently, he was employed with the Davis Public School System.

Roger was an avid fan of the Davis Wolves and the OU Sooners. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially when it came to vacationing on a beach somewhere or taking a cruise. Roger was a member of the First Baptist Church of Davis.

Survivors include his wife Jeanie; two sons, Jeff Jennings & wife Jodi of Davis and Josh Jennings & wife LaKrista of Sulphur; his father, Robert Jennings of Davis; five grandchildren, Jaylee, Jett, Lexi, Madux & Jax; as well as his father & mother-in-law, Paul & Pat Gray of Davis.

Serving as pallbearers will be George Tipton, Ted Lawrence, Gary Gage, Joe Cowan, John Smith, Dale Vineyard, Michael Deaton, Craig McClennen and Lonnie Kiener.

Roger was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce in Sept 2004.
