William "Bill" Wayne Jameson

December 18, 1960 — April 29, 2020

William Eugene Jameson of Davis, Oklahoma, passed away April 29, 2020, at the age of 59. Born December 18, 1960, in Sulphur, Oklahoma, to Dorothy and Roger Jameson, Bill grew up on the family ranch between Davis and Sulphur with his brother John Jameson and sister Judy Jameson Moses. He attended the Davis school system from kindergarten through high school and then attended Oklahoma State University, graduating with a degree in political science while creating many lifelong friendships and memories. He immediately continued his education at the Oklahoma University Law School, graduating in 1986. After practicing law for the FDIC in Dallas, Bill moved to Boston and became involved in real estate sales. He lived there for many years before returning to the ranch to help care for his mother, Dorothy, while working for the Melton Law Firm in Davis.

Bill loved playing the organ for the First Christian Church and the Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church in Sulphur, as well as singing with a men’s chorus while in Boston. He was an avid fan of the Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, New England Patriots and (well, you get the picture). Never turning his back on his heritage, he would always cheer for an Oklahoma State game as well. He could often be found in the kitchen at the ranch studying New York Times recipes which he didn’t hesitate to try on his family members. From music to sports to cooking to politics to reading, Bill was interested in the wider world while cherishing his Murray County roots.

Although memorial arrangements are pending, his family wishes to thank those who have expressed their condolences. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Davis School Foundation, P.O. Box 333, Davis, OK 73030.
