Anita Louise Roady

August 16, 1955 — September 16, 2016

Anita was born August 16, 1955 in Wilson, OK to the late Horace & Mamie Maurice (Knight) Fogle. She died Friday, September 16, 2016, in Davis, at the age of 61 years and 1 month. Anita and Ricky Roady were married on February 8, 1974 in Gainesville, TX.
Anita grew up in the Graham area. She attended school in both Elmore City and Woodland. After their marriage, she and Ricky made their home in Davis where they raised their children. Anita & Ricky co-owned and operated Sooner BBQ of Davis for several years. She later worked as a waitress at the Main Street Diner and Restaurant in Davis. For the past 18 years she worked for the City of Davis as a ticket office supervisor at Turner Falls Park. In her spare time, she enjoyed camping, but most of all, she enjoyed visiting with her friends & family. Anita was always the life of the party. She was very quick witted and had a reply or comment for anything someone had to say. She was a very flamboyant individual who spoke her mind, whether you liked it or not. With Anita Roady, you knew where you stood, because she would straight out tell you. She will be greatly missed by not only her family, but many close friends.
Survivors include her husband Ricky; one daughter, Becky McCurtain & husband Darryl; one son, Justin Roady & wife Bree; three grandchildren, Makenzie, Kaden & Landen McCurtain, all of Davis; three sisters, Sheri Miller of Altus, Hazel Langston and Bonnie Bittle, both of Davis; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and her special “lil friend”, Lawana Phillips of Davis.
In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by three brothers, Roger, Alfred & Horace Lee Fogle; and one sister, Carolyn Miller.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rodney Roady, Nathan Roady, Arlen Bittle, Stan Hefley, Jerry Elliott and Robert McCurtain. Honorary bearers will be nieces and nephews.
