Augustine "Tina" Wills

Augustine “Tina” Wills was born August 18, 1933, in Cumberland County, TN, to the late James Virgil & Lottie Lee (Kelley) Hughes. She passed from this life on Thursday, October 12, 2023, in Sulphur, at the age of 90 years, 1 month and 21 days. Tina and Billy Joe Wills were married on February 25, 1972, in Gainesville, TX. He preceded her in death on April 27, 1997.

Tina grew up in Westel, TN, moving to Oklahoma in 1961. She spent 20+ years for the Stromberg-Carlson Corporation, prior to her retirement. Tina was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her simple life revolved around her family, and as long as her family was fine, she too was fine. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her garden and yard. She took great pride in maintaining a beautiful yard, which led her to receive Sulphur’s “Yard of the Month” award several times. Tina was very proud of this recognition.

Survivors include one daughter, Melenda Casey of Hennepin, OK; three sons, Gary Dean Green & wife Nancy of Stonewall, OK, Donald Green, of Sulphur, and Ronald Green & wife Linda, also of Sulphur; six grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Jennie Buck of Florida; one bonus son, Jay Mensch of Sulphur; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Tina was preceded in death by one granddaughter Christina Green; one great-grandson, Colton Green; five brothers, Carl, Dick, Clay, James and Bud; and five sisters, Glenna, Mae, Creta, Ann and Carol.

Private graveside services were held Monday, October 16, 2023, at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur.
