Brenda Gale Hamilton-Bell

Funeral services for Brenda Gale (Allen) Hamilton-Bell will be held 10 AM, Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Davis with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr officiating. Interment will be held at 3:00PM, that afternoon at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Cleburne, TX.

Brenda was born November 24, 1942 in Clifton, TX to the late Herman & Freda (Thompson) Allen. She died Sunday, March 10, 2019 in Norman, OK, at the age of 76 years, 3 months and 14 days. Brenda and Freddy Dee Hamilton were married on August 29, 1958 in Cleburne. He preceded her in death in June, 1975.

Brenda grew up in Cleburne. Following high school, she attended cosmetology school and spent several years working as a hairdresser at SunShine Hair in Joshua, TX. She then spent several years working as a cashier at Safeway in Cleburne. In 1993, Brenda moved to Davis, Oklahoma, where she owned and operated the Guy Sandy Café for a short time. Prior to failing health, Brenda worked at the Davis Public School as a Foster Grandmother, tutoring elementary students with their reading skills. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, crocheting and shopping. She attended the Midway Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include six daughters, Vicki Peterson & husband Wesley of Lakeland, FL, Jana Long & husband Jay of Sulphur, OK, Rhonda Houston & husband Jim of Davis, OK, Shanda Vineyard & husband Tolon of Davis, and Shayna Bell and Kaliah Bell, both of Davis; two sons, Jerry Hamilton and Malachi Bell, both of Davis; two sisters, Jan (Allen) Davis and Pam (Allen) Riggin, both of Davis; two brother, Ricky Allen of Sulphur and Randy Allen of Davis; as well as 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Brenda was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Keith Allen.
