Carla Wyn Kirkpatrick was born October 12, 1965, in Oklahoma City, to the late Charlie & Paulette “Shine” Cropper. She passed from this life on Monday, November 24, 2025, in Sulphur, at the age of sixty. She and John William Kirkpatrick were married on May 23, 1981, in Sulphur.
Carla grew up in Barstow, California. After moving to Sulphur in 1984, she devoted much of her time to raising her family. She worked several jobs in the area including employment with Sooner Foods Grocery, the CTS Smoke Shop, Valero, cleaned houses for the public and did fire and water damage restoration.
In her spare time, Carla enjoyed cooking and hosting family dinners, gardening, and decorating for holidays, especially Halloween. Of all her enjoyments, spending time with her beloved grandchildren, along with other family and friends was number one.
Survivors include her husband, John Kirkpatrick; two sons, Charles Kirkpatrick & wife Hannah, and Lance Kirkpatrick & wife Alex; daughter, Amanda Kirkpatrick; six grandchildren, Shaun & Trenten Haslacker, and Bennett, Kaisley, Camila and Jovi Kirkpatrick; four great-grandchildren, River, Ryder, Remi Mae, and Bexleigh; two sisters, Cassie Jones & husband Wesley, and Carol Cropper; niece, Crystal Palmer; and nephews, Robert Palmer, Ronnie Cropper, and Roger Arles.
In addition to her parents, Carla was preceded in death by her brother, Chuck Cropper; sister, Charlotte Cropper; two nieces, Jessica Arles, and Danielle Moose; and nephew, Daniel Moose.
A celebration of Carla’s life will be held at 11:30AM, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Expectations Church, 1015 W. 11th St, in Sulphur.
