Graveside services for Charlene Louise Warner will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the Green Hill Cemetery, in Davis, with Pastor Willard McCartney officiating.
Charlene was born on January 4, 1935, in Byars, OK, to the late Charles Robert & Ollie Mae (Simmons) Briscoe. She passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, in Ardmore, at the age of ninety-one. Charlene and Mr. Andy Harrison Warner were married on September 19, 1952, in Ardmore. He preceded her in death on July 10, 2020. In addition to her parents and husband, Charlene was preceded in death by her two brothers, Harold & Adrian Briscoe.
Survivors include her sister, Anita (Briscoe) Cummings; her two sons, Stephen Warner and Michael Warner & wife Vicky Joyce; two grandchildren, Patricia Wooley and Kimberly Scaggs five great-grandchildren, Brittany Reed, Ryan Reed, Jayson Vineyard, Taylor Scaggs and Weston Scaggs; seven great-great grandchildren Kayden Reed, Cooper Daenzers, Hudson Jewell, Wrenley Reed, Oliva Scaggs, Cole Vineyard and Knoxx Vineyard; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Charlene spent many years working at the Oklahoma School for the Deaf, in Sulphur, where she worked as a house mother, caring for the older female students. She quickly learned signed language and greatly enjoyed caring for the students. Charlene loved her job and was very well liked by the students. Charlene, a devoted Christian, was of the Southern Baptist Faith, and raised both her sons to be the same.
Charlene was known for reminding everyone that “this too shall pass.” So, as it is written, this part of her life has passed. She is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and all her beloved family that has gone on before her. Charlene would not want those left to be saddened by her passing. She would want all to know she is home in heaven with God and family; yet still in the hearts of those she left on Earth.
