Charles Warren

Charles Warren, known by family and friends as "Charlie" or "Donnie", was born August 9, 1941, in Wynnewood, OK, to the late Lannie Olen & Lillian Pauline (Hicks) Warren. He passed from this life on Friday, August 22, 2025, in Davis, at the age of 84 years, & 13 days. He and the former Ms. Sandra Mae (Hamontree) Spann were united in marriage on January 3, 1996, in Las Vegas, NV.


Charlie grew up in the Davis area. After graduating from Woodland High School, he joined the United State Air Force, proudly serving his country from July 20, 1959, until he was honorably discharged on August 23, 1963. After his military service, Charlie began working for the Southwestern Bell Telephone Co in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He began as a lineman and worked his way up to an equipment engineer at the time of his retirement in 1991. After retiring from Southwestern Bell, Charlie became a licensed real estate agent, working in the DFW area. He and Sandra made their home in several places including Las Vegas, Southfork and Pagosa Springs, CO, prior to returning to Davis, where he enjoyed being around more of his family.


In earlier years, Charlie enjoyed raising horses, hunting, fishing, and hiking. He loved spending time on his boat, whether he was fishing or skiing with family. One of Charlie's most cherished memories was serving as Scout Master, in the 1980's, for Boy Scout Troop 76. He took great pride in mentoring young scouts and shaping their future.


Survivors include his wife, Sandra; sons, Charles Wayne Warren of Weatherford, TX, Thomas Warren of Granbury, TX; and Michael Spann of Houston; daughter, Kathy Hines of Ft. Worth; nine grandchildren, Cody Jack, Michelle, Kristin, Austin, Elise, Anna, Erika, Jacquline and Madeline; several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Katie Harrell & husband Mark, Mona Taylor & husband Leland and Linda Gentry; two brothers, Johnny Lee Warren & wife Brenda and Michael Warren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.


In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by one son, Mark Edward Warren; three sisters, Betty Warren, Paula Sue Parker, and Judy Cunningtubby; five brothers, Paul Keith Warren, Bobby Jack Warren, Billie Ray Warren, Darrell Warren, and Lannie Warren.


Services will be held at 11:00AM, on Friday, August 29, 2025, at the Midway Hill Baptist Church, in Davis. Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr will officiate the service.
