In Loving Memory of Charlotte Anita Allman
Charlotte Anita Allman, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, at the age of 76 in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Born on February 14, 1950, in Lawton, Oklahoma, Charlotte’s life was marked by love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Charlotte grew up in Elgin, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Elgin High School. Her early years were filled with the warmth of family and the support of her close-knit community, values she carried with her throughout her life.
In 1974, Charlotte moved to Murray County, Oklahoma. She worked in the Murray County Clerk’s office and later joined the Oklahoma State Auditor’s office, dedicating many years to serving her community before retiring. Charlotte was known for her kindness, devotion, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome.
Above all, Charlotte was a devoted mother to her two boys, Shawn and Mark, who were the center of her world. Shawn Barefoot and his wife Rachael currently live in Sulphur Oklahoma, while Mark Barefoot and his wife Estela live in Panama City, Panama. She also leaves behind six grandchildren—Jordan, Hailey, Lucas, Gianni, Lucia, and Raven—and three great-grandchildren—Nature, Bodee, and Bradee. Each will forever cherish her stories, laughter, and gentle spirit.
Charlotte found joy in the simple moments: family gatherings, shared meals, and time spent with loved ones. Her home was always a place of warmth, laughter, and love.
Charlotte is survived by her siblings and spouses Rue Dee & Kim Glover, Kelly & Steven Trussell, Rebecca and Kim Gaddy, and Suzi and Woody Woodruff. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Allman; her mother, Ruth Glover Claburn; her father, Neal Glover; and her sister, Kay Glover.
A celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held on April 9, 2026, at First Free Will Baptist of Sulphur Oklahoma at 10:00 am, with Pastor Dick Terry officiating. Interment will follow at the Oaklawn Cemetery, in Sulphur.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jordan Barefoot, Lucas Barefoot, Gianni Cipponeri, Brad Gaddy, Bryan Gaddy, Bryce Gaddy, Ryan Marney, and Chris Hale. Honorary Pallbearers: Joshua Marney, Darren Hale, Charlie Womack, Calvin Glover, and Fred Womack.
Though Charlotte is no longer with us, her love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her kindness, warmth, and devotion will be forever cherished and remembered.
The family would like to thank Artesian Nursing Home and their staff for all the care for Charlotte. A special thanks to Good Shepard Hospice for their assistance and care.
