Danny Lee Baldwin, a stranger to none and friend to all, passed from this life on December 25, 2021, at the age of 58. He was born on March 11, 1963, to Mary McKinley and Clarence Pamplin. As a young child, Danny was adopted by R.C. Baldwin.
His early years were spent near family in Oklahoma until a move to the Coronado, San Diego area where Danny attended Kindergarten through his Sophomore year of high school. Danny graduated from Wynnewood High School in 1981. He worked in the oil field, at Joy school, and several years at the Pauls Valley State School. His gentleness and compassion enriched the lives of many. In February of 2002, Danny began his near twenty-year career at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Pauls Valley. Through the years, he held many positions and became a seasoned fixture in the warehouse. A smile, laugh, and a chat or visit were to be expected when he was near. Danny was a skilled mechanic and favored handyman who took pride in his work. Danny turned his side jobs into his own Honey Dos side-business where he enlisted the help of his sons.
Danny married Betty Gargis in August of 1981. Sons Brandon and Jimmy were born of their marriage. In March of 2002, with the help of his cousins malfunctioning vehicle, Danny and Brandy Carter became inseparable. They were married the following month in Van Buren, Arkansas, and Danny became dad to his third son, Coby. The following year, Kyler completed the Baldwin family. Danny was steadfast in his convictions and resolved in his actions. A devoted husband, he served as a constant pillar and loyal companion. He adored, supported, and celebrated his wife, their children, and five grandchildren.
Danny enjoyed spending time with his children. From countless hours playing video games or enjoying the pool, he was always one for fun with his boys. Danny was fond of a bargain and spent many Sundays haggling with venders along the Dog Trade aisles. Danny took great pride in the accomplishments of his children. From t-ball and soccer, to football, track, academics and more, Danny proved consistent in his support, maintaining a booming voice and recognizable whistle. He had a knack for woodworking and taught his children the craft of pinewood derby cars, working on vehicles, and living honorably. He was patient, loving, and gentle. Danny had a willingness to help and uplift others.
Survivors include his wife and love of his life Brandy; four sons, Kyler Baldwin, of the home, Brandon Baldwin & wife Melisa, Jimmy Baldwin & wife Kate, and Coby Carter & significant other, Sydney; five grandchildren, Braysen, Jacen, Jacob, Avery, and Aliyah; one sister, Tammy Lee & husband Mike; nephew, Zach Baldwin; and niece, Mary Story.
