Darrell Dean “Pete” Duffey
Pete was born on Jan 19, 1934 in Seaman, OH to the late Donald Patrick & Jane (West) Duffey. He died Monday, June 24, 2013 in Sulphur, at the age of 79 years 5 months and 5 days. Pete and Lucenda G. Stover were married on Mar 14, 1981 at Ohio’s Wright- Patterson Air Force Base.
Pete grew up in the Seaman, Greenfield & Dayton, Ohio area. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. While living in Ohio, Pete worked as an Audio Visual supervisor at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Museum. In 1995, Pete and Lucenda moved to Sulphur, where prior to his retirement, he worked as a statewide Independent Process Server for various banks, attorneys and District Attorney’s offices. His hobbies included traveling, collecting knives & antiques. Pete was a member of the Crossway First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lucenda; two daughters, Gina Marie Strong & husband Steven of Lebanon, OH and Dawn Dee Burnett & husband Michael of Mason, OH; one son, Robert Johnson of Sulphur; six grandchildren, Brent Burnett & wife Megan, Drew Burnett & wife Samantha, Lauren & Eric Strong and Seth & Zoe Johnson; one brother, Don C. Duffey & wife Glenna of Springboro, OH; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
