David Lee Cottrell

David was born June 8, 1943 in Wynnewood to the late Harold & Lois (Twyman) Cottrell. He died Thursday, June 23, 2016 in Pauls Valley, at the age of 73 year & 15 days.

David grew up in Wynnewood and spent 50+ years working as auto mechanic. Many of his working years were spent with Toyota of Tulsa and Oklahoma City. Even in his leisure time, David could be found mechanicing. He enjoyed working on anything that had a motor. David also loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his daughter, Lawanna Cottrell of Sulphur; son, Robert Cottrell of Sulphur; three grandchildren, Gregory Welborn of Sulphur, Brendan Cottrell of Elk City and Destiny Cottrell of Dickson; one great-grandson, Noah Welborn of Sulphur; as well as two sisters, Lavern Ellis of Lexington & Mary Jane Lairson of Norman.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by two brothers, Cliff & Gene Cottrell.
