David Ray Graves was born October 8, 1997, in Oklahoma City. He died Thursday, June 3, 2021 in Ada, at the age of 23 years, 7 months and 26 days.
David grew up in Sulphur, graduating from Sulphur High School, Class of 2016. After high school he worked at several jobs, including at a horse ranch in Ada. David always had an infatuation with semi-trucks. He enjoyed collecting Hot-Wheels. David was known for having a big heart and loved his family and friends dearly. He was the type of person who never met a stranger. In his spare time, he enjoyed drawing and listening to music.
Survivors include his mother, Kim Graves; father, Ernest “Digger” Graves; two brothers, Chad Smith and Bryan Graves, all of Sulphur; grandmother, Mary Dalley of Davis; two nieces, MacKayla Smith and Jaiden Smith; one nephew, CJ Smith; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
David was preceded in death by paternal great-grandparents, Ray & Alpha Graves; maternal great-grandparents, Vina “Sue” & Bill Allen; maternal grandfather, Norvell Dalley; paternal grandfather, Ernie Graves; as well as several aunts and uncles.
A viewing for friends will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2021, from 9:00AM – 4:00PM. at the funeral home. Memorial services will be held in the near future.
