Dorothy Morene (Frantz) Taylor


Dorothy was born Aug 11, 1926 in Davis to the late Charlie & Myrtle (Moore) Frantz. She died Monday, Sept 8, 2014 in Sulphur, at the age of 88. Dorothy & Archie D. Taylor were married on Dec 24, 1945 in Fresno, CA. He preceded her in death in July, 2003. Others preceding her in death include a son, Geary Taylor; two sisters, Charlene Lee & Virginia Scott; and one brother, Charles Frantz.
Dorothy grew up in the Davis/Dougherty area, where she attended school. In 1942 she moved to California, living in Fresno and later Bakersfield. She worked as a sales clerk in a grocery store while living there. In 1992, Dorothy & Archie moved from California to Sulphur, where they spent the remainder of their lives. She enjoyed tending to her garden & flowers, making photo album covers and knitting.
Survivors include one son, Ron D. Taylor of Hayden, ID; three grandchildren, Jennifer Rodriguez, Jessica Taylor & Robbie Taylor; one sister, LaDonna Kay (Frantz) Brown and one brother, Perry D. Frantz, both of Sulphur; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be D.R. Brown, Chris Hampton, Ken Davis, Mike Frantz, Brent Aaron & Randal Kirby. Honorary bearers will be Dennis Brown, Jaden Dollar & Devin Brown.
