Edward Earl Barnett

Edward Earl “Ed” Barnett was born Sept 3, 1953 in Wynnewood to the late Robert Eli & Juanita Gail (Johnson) Barnett. He died Friday, June 5, 2015 in Hennepin, at the age of 61.

Ed grew up in the Pauls Valley area, graduating from Pernell High School in 1972. He spent much of his career in the oil field working as a driller for the Jones Drilling Co. At the time of his death, Ed worked as a mechanic for the Dollar General Corp, Ardmore Distribution Center. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, gardening, “playing pool at the office” and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Charity Barnett of Lone Grove and Melinda Quintana of Marietta; five grandchildren, Madison, Mahayla, Whitney, Lilliann and Alex; one sister, Juanita Gail Enblom of Davis; as well as numerous niece & nephews.

Ed was preceded in death by three sisters, Roberta Ann Starr, Lou Audine Fletcher & Bobbi Jo Hudson; as well as three brothers, Newell Ray Barnett, Robert Cozel Barnett & Patrick Clyde Barnett.
